Standalone amplifiers

A complete range of standalone EDFAs which enable amplification of up to 40 channels in the C-band . Uni-directional or bi-directional transmission options are available with optimized versions for line, booster and preamplification applications. State of the art transient suppression control is achieved in constant gain, power and current modes. Mid Stage Access provides full network flexibility.
The units are fully controlled, with monitors, alarms and safety shutdown capabilities. Remote provisioning is via an SNMP/Telnet interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface.
An optional OSC (Optical Supervisory Channel) add/drop is also available. 1U high, these units are designed for installation in 19" racks, powered by a -48V DC power supply.

Chassis based ampliciation modules
A complete range of EDFA modules which enable amplification of up to 40 channels in the C-band. These units are intended for use in the A2050, A2500 or A4000 chassis. Uni-directional or bi-directional transmission options are available with optimized versions for line, booster and preamplification applications. State of the art transient suppression control is achieved in constant gain, power and current modes. Mid Stage Access provides full network flexibility.
The units are fully controlled, with monitors, alarms and safety shutdown capabilities. System management is via the AM2502 controller card, remote provisioning is via an SNMP/Telnet interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface.
An optional OSC (Optical Supervisory Channel) add/drop is also available.
